It has been a while since my last massive LEGO update, sorry but I have been busy planning our trip down under.

I love playing chess but don’t get to do it that often and am nowhere near a Grandmaster. I have been playing with the idea of building a chess set out of LEGO over the years. I have seen many good attempts and had one or two ideas in my head. But I got beaten by this – These Lego Star Wars Chess Sets Are Swankier Than Vader’s Vinyl Underpant. Mixing LEGO, Star Wars and chess is just brilliant.

Continuing the link with Star Wars now this time it is mixed with Space Invaders into this wonderful bit to hang on your wall – gizmodo.com – The imperial space invaders.

I’m loving the Rubik-cube-solving robot race and this 7x7x7 one is rather nuts and yet memorising at the same time. And hey it joins my favourite phone OS and LEGO together too – gizmodo.com – LEGO android robot solves 7x7x7 Rubik cube.

I “gamed” out on my Amiga 500 years ago, but I do like the look of the new LEGO universe. From the look of the screen shots I have seen and the little video about how it is made *), I might take up gaming again and get my ar*e kicked by some 5 year old 🙂 – LEGO universe

*) now that is a dream job if there is one.

I’ll finish off with this genius little clip, it really made me smile, thanks for making it this wonderful ad for LEGO Temujin Doran.
