DAILY PROMPT : Singin’ in the Rain. Safe inside, toasty warm, while water pitter-patters on the roof… describe your perfect, rainy afternoon.

Hmm, I’m of prompt again as I do like the rain …

Pluviophile:

(n) a lover of rain; someone who finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days

A word I just leaned today, which I don’t think is an official word yet, as I could not find it on www.oxforddictionaries.com.

Though it does describe me very well, I really do enjoy the sound of rain on a tent or on the window. Walking in the rain, just calms me down, I have spent many hours walking at night in the rain pondering away while getting lost, watching the world go by.

Speaking of which, I better take the mutt out for her walkies, while it is still raining 🙂

I leave you with the lyrics to the song – I like London in the rain.

I like London in the rain
With my boots on in the rain
Feel the coolness in the air
Let the rain fall in my hair

I like London in the rain
With umbrellas in the rain
Feel the couples arm in arm
London drizzle has it’s charm

Winds are blowing
Lights are glowing
Falling rain…

I like London in the rain…
It’s like mirrors in the rain
Turn the city upside down

Liquid pictures
Of the town
How I fancy misty hours
On a rainy thoroughfare
I like London with umbrellas
Everywhere
